Popular Nigerian gospel artist and songwriter Osinachi Joseph affectionately known as Sinach has this day become the very first African to hit the number 1 spot on the Billboard USA for Christian songwriters chart.
The singer took to her twitter to reveal this great news adding that she has been on the top for the past seven weeks.
She posted “So apparently We have been No 1 on billboard USA for Christian song writer for 7 weeks !! Look at God!! First Black person
First from Africa … So grateful to God!!”
The chart has it rankings based on sales both physical and online as well as radio play and online streaming.
Other songwriters on the list are Jason Ingram, Matthew West, Lauren Daigle, Chris Brown, Steven Furtick, Jeff Pardo, Paul Mabury, Hank Bentley and Ethan Hulse.
