Ecosystem depletion is one of the major threats facing plants and animal species in Ghana and throughout the world, in general. The loss of habitat has far-reaching impacts on the planet’s ability to sustain life but even with the challenges, there is hope for the future.
In recent time, Ghana has been facing challenges with its ecosystem especially with the issue of illegal mining (galamsey) deteriorating our water bodies and forestries.
In view of this, Joy Aid Foundation, which seeks to equip, unite and grow is organizing a talk series on a topic dubbed, “Maintaining A Healthy Ecosystem; A Responsibility For All”.
This happens to be the fourth edition.
The event will take place on June 5, 2021 on zoom at exactly 5pm to 7pm.
Insightful and indefatigable speakers like Dr. Caroline K. Lumosi (youth mentor, reflective blogger and a researcher), Chibeze Ezekiel (Coordinator at strategic youth network development), Ali Eliasu (Head of STEM at EduSports).
The event will be moderated by Awuraabena Boateng, a Public Relations student of University of Professional Studies, Accra and the founder of Girls Empowering Movement – GEM. A ladies club aimed at empowering ladies from all walks of life.
Joy Aid Foundation is an NGO with a focus on ensuring youth development, through Education, leadership development and sustainable cities throughout Ghana.
Knowledge Window Talk is an online project which seeks to educate the youth with knowledge, practicality and as well train them on diverse topics which will impact their growth and development. For the past six months we have held 3 sessions which have had an engagement with over 500 audiences and some feedback and counseling from our team.
