Exclusive: Electoral Commission Disqualifies Five Presidential Hopefuls:Details

The new development reaching the editorial desk of urstrulypraiznews indicates that the Electoral Commission has cleared a total of 12 Presidential aspirants to join the race in contesting for the upcoming December 7 Presidential elections and below are the list of survived aspirants.

1. Alfred Walker
2. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
3. Christian Kwabena Andrews
4. Bridgette Dzobegnuku
5. John Dramani Mahama
6. Akua Donkor
7. Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings
8. Hassan Ayariga
9. Ivor Greenstreet
10. Henry Herbert Lartey
11. Kofi Akpaloo
12. David Apesera

In as much as this very development was opened to the general public that is anyone who feels qualifies for this very contest, the commission has disqualified five aspirants based on many factors… They include the following:

1. Kofi Koranteng
2. Marricke Kofi Gane
3. Akwasi Odike
4. Kwesi Busumburu
5. Agyenim Boateng

This practically comes after the submission of respective forms by presidential hopefuls ahead of the elections.

The EC boss at a press conference in Accra said that a number of issues triggered the disqualification of 5 presidential candidates.

She made it known that the major challenge in this regard had to do with the details provided by the political parties at the filing stage.

Cases that bother on allegations of forgery of signatures and manufacturing of endorsees will be forwarded to the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further probe. Meanwhile, the EC explained that the GHC100,000 filing fee will be refunded to the disqualified candidates in line with the rules surrounding the process.
