EXCLUSIVE: Approximately 22 NYPD Officers To Embark On Humanitarian Mission To Ghana Through ALEO ( Africa Law Enforcement Organization)

In a remarkable demonstration of compassion, service, and commitment to humanity, approximately 30 officers of the New York City Police Department (NYPD), under the African Law Enforcement Organization (ALEO), are preparing to embark on a humanitarian outreach mission to Ghana from November 9 to 18, 2026.
The initiative, themed “To Serve and To Protect Beyond Borders,” aims to bring hope, smiles, and meaningful support to underprivileged children and vulnerable communities across selected parts of Ghana.
At the heart of this initiative is Mr. William Apau, popularly known as Ministerapau, an NYPD officer, member of ALEO, and founder of Magho Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of the less privileged.
Driven by his longstanding passion for humanitarian service, Mr. Apau played an instrumental role in connecting ALEO with schools and an orphanage in Ghana that have previously benefited from Magho Foundation’s charitable activities.
Over the years, Magho Foundation has touched lives through initiatives focused on educational assistance, school supplies, uniforms, support for orphanages, medical assistance for vulnerable children, and relief for struggling families.
For many children facing difficult circumstances, such acts of kindness represent more than material assistance. They offer encouragement, restore dignity, and serve as reminders that they have not been forgotten.
Through this upcoming mission, Mr. Apau is helping create an opportunity for fellow law enforcement officers to experience firsthand the communities that Magho Foundation has supported and to extend their own hands of compassion.
The outreach also reflects ALEO’s commitment to service beyond policing, demonstrating that the values of protection, unity, and community responsibility transcend national boundaries.
The humanitarian mission is organized by ALEO, with Magho Foundation ,Afro Pop, Exotical Sponges supporting the initiative as sponsors.
As preparations continue for the November visit, the mission carries a powerful message: true service knows no borders, and even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting difference in someone’s life.
The delegation is expected to undertake its humanitarian activities in Ghana between November 9 and 18, 2026, bringing together law enforcement professionals and charitable partners with a shared purpose of giving hope to those who need it most.
