Ghana’s side of the most active social media platform Twitter has practically gone over and off its charts amd this has to do with an ongoing breaking news and trend.
The big noise happening since yesterday on the platform practical indicates that some top stars in the country have fallen for an award scheme regarded as a complete scam over the weekend.
The very investigations and reports going viral practically explains the fact that a young man who has paraded himself as a representative of the United Nations (UN) has presented some awards to top Ghanaian personalities.
Checks coming out has made it loud that the award scheme is not credible and that a Ghanaian by name Dr. Fordjour claiming to be coming from the UN and representing the international body was actually a fraud.
Personalities like Sarkodie, D-Black, Berla Mundi, Nathaniel Attoh, Chairman Wontumi, Vice-Chancellors and Chiefs were all awarded as they gathered based on their contribution to their various industries.
This is evidential as Photos and videos of the said event were shared on various social media platforms which got the very interest and attention of many bloggers and other media outlets.
Our very own Sarkodie being one of the very winners made a grateful post in escort with a photograph of him holding a container that looked like a golden vase and captioned it as follows: “A great honour to receive the 7th Global Leadership Service to Humanity award … RIP To a great son of the Land Mr. Kofi Annan … Your legacy is still alive” thereby receiving a lot of congratulatory applauds for the recognition.
The young man who is said to have brought the award scheme to Ghana has been called by many as a fraud after an official statement was issued by heads of the United Nations stating categorically that they did not know him.
However, the so called Dr Fordjour has been recognized as a non relevant personality and just an underground rapper.
