Mrs. Deborah Borketey-Tackie, founder of the renowned Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) –DUSAF, in collaboration with CEO of Vendajules Slay World, Mrs. Mary Ada Atayobor made a donation on 21st October 2022, to Staff and Management of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
An amount of GH¢13,294 in cash was made to settle bills of some patients at the Trauma and Orthopaedics Unit at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. This donation is also to mark the birthday celebration of Mary Ada Atayobor on 24th October as part of her passion and commitment to always give back to society in recognition of the goodness of God in her life.
Speaking at the donation ceremony, the award-winning Beautician and Entrepreneur of Vendajules Empire, Mrs. Mary Ada Atayobor mentioned that the gesture was to give back to society and thank God for how far she has come. It has been three (3) years of giving back to society and she is grateful to the almighty for a plus and also to DUSAF for putting everything together to ensure her heart desires of giving back to society is achieved.
The CEO of DUSAF, Mrs. Deborah Borketey-Tackie who was presenting at the ceremony encouraged the general public who have the capacity in any form to support or help when they can do something to brighten society by helping others in need, and was happy to work hand in hand with the birthday celebrant to make this a success.
Speaking to the news team, PRO of DUSAF, Mr. Joseph Kevelyn-Brocke, said “it is a privilege and great joy to see the excitement on the faces of patients at the ward as their bills are being settled.” He also commended Mrs. Ada Atayobor for thinking of the sick to extend her hand by collaborating with the foundation. They also extend a thank you to the facility for being cooperative with them to allow them see patients and interact with them to know their conditions.
The Matron of the facility thanked both the foundation and Celebrant for making it possible to settle patients bills to put smiles on their face. She urged Ghanaians to take care of their health and also help in any way they can to make a better Ghana.
