The creativity and versatility of budding highlife/hiplife artiste, Kofi Kinaata is undoubtedly remarkable especially when it comes to composing music for different situations or occasions.
Not long ago, he did a song to talk about illegal fishing and illegal migration in order to sensitize the populace about the consequences of these practices.
Indeed, it’s not surprising that he’s been twice awarded as the VGMA songwriter of the year consecutively.
However, despite the havoc that the novel coronavirus pandemic has brought to the world at large, Kofi Kinaata is yet to do a song to educate the public.
Speaking in a celebrity interview with Amansan Krakye on Radio Central in Cape Coast, he was asked why the delay in doing a coronavirus sensitization song, he said
“I would say that coronavirus is something which came unexpected and its a disease that we are not used to in Africa or Ghana like malaria etc.
“I’m not waiting for World Health Organization to contact me before I do a coronavirus sensitization song but for now I have not thought of doing a song but let’s see what happens.
“Even without a song I’m also using my social media platforms and this medium to still educate the public about COVID-19”.
Coronavirus currently in Ghana is receiving a lot of attention as the number of affected persons continue to rise on a daily basis coupled with some deaths with many contemplating a total shutdown of the country.
