Multiple award winning Ghanaian afro-pop and Indigenous African songwriter Wiyaala has again done something she is hardly seen doing and that is responding to fans and critics especially when the course is not friendly to her thoughts and feelings. Wiyaala has responded constructively to a fan who thinks she is an underrated artiste especially in Ghana.
After dropping into the waves a rendition of Chiquitita which was first recorded by famous Swedish band called ABBA last week, the self-praised Sisala Goddess has being in most headlines on the internet as the cover got a lot of attention thereby making fans resume claims that she is underrated in a tweet.
However, the songstress has taken time out to object such claims thereby putting forward an enviable evidence to draw the attention of Ghanaians and social media users on the fact that, she is never underrated.
In respect to this, Wiyaala replied one of the tweets with “underrated by who? followed by references from world class media houses that has seen her works and rated her on a global front. These media houses include BBC NEWS, BBC NEWS AFRICA, CNN AFRICA, SKY NEWS, IRISH TIMES, FINANCIAL TIMES and WOMAD UK.
