Current English side; Arsenal midfielder THOMAS PARTEY has been dismissed from the ongoing Blackstars camp. This follows a late turn up for training ahead of the international friendly clash gainst Morocco on Tuesday.
Popular national coach of the senior side in the person of “CK” Akonnor dismissed the deputy captain from the camp after he showed up for training two days before the team emplaned to Rabat.
Ghanaians have since then questioned the player’s commitment and leadership role to the national team and Ghana as a whole as a deputy captain.
Reports that circulated on social media had it that, in as much as the former Atletico Madrid player arrived earlier in Ghana for holidays, he was reluctant to join the camping as the team intensified preparations for the games ahead for reasons best known to him.
As it stands, several players that were called up among the squad have joined the whole team in preparation for the easy one ahead. Captain Andre Ayew, who was handed some time off due to his involvement in the English Championship play-offs has joined the rest of his colleagues for the trip.
It’s also remarkably striking that several global top stars who enjoyed successful campaigns in Europe have joined their respective national team camps.
The four-time African Champions are billed to play Morocco in Rabat on June 8 and later face Ivory Coast on June 12 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
