Few days ago, it was reported that a journalist from the grounds of the nation’s popular Citi Tv/fm identified as Caleb found himself wanting over filming officers of the national security on duty without permission.
The said action was reported to have happened at the scene where agents of the force were deployed to see to the prevention of citizens from embarking on the demonstration that was to cause the sitting government to fix the country amidst the partial hardship the youths are facing.
This issue among others have being a topic that has landed very long and several discussions on radio,tv and other social media platforms by citizens of the republic of Ghana in different angles and perspectives.
After critical analysis of the whole case study, enlightened young politician and General Secretary of the Great Consolidated Popular Party in the person of Lawyer Citizen Ato Dadzie took time off today on Kfm TV’s flagship show dubbed Ghana Nti to share his candid opinion on the whole matter with Efya Stard.
On addressing the issue in his own better understanding, the lawyer made is clear that, he has no problem with the law dealing with those who break it for that is why the law was made.
However, Citizen Ato Dadzie stated clearly that, if it is a crime to film security officers on duty and so deserves punishment, then sanctions should be similarly passed on to officers who break the law they are set to defend instead.
The lawyer recounted instances where security officers film themselves and update their social media pages on all happening around their circles when it comes to work and their premises of jurisdiction.
In his final words, he made it known there are several offices in journalism and so Caleb who was dealt with should have known the limit to his job and stuck to it.He advised.
