Management of the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has reported in a statement explaining the cause of the power outage some parts of the country experienced on Monday. It has been stated in the report by management that, at 1:36pm on Monday April 12, 2021, the power system experienced a fault on the Aboadze-Anwomaso transmission line and this led to the loss of supply to some parts of the country.
In the statement released by GRIDCo, it has been promised that , technicians are working with relevant players in the generation and distribution chain to resume power transmission to all affected areas.
“Currently, more than 80% of the affected substations have been fully restored as efforts are ongoing to restore the remaining 20%.
GRIDCo hereby extends its sincere apologies to the general masses for any inconvenience caused as they deeply regret it.
