Popular London based Capital Xtra radio has terminated association with one of its loudest Ghanaian DJs born Frank Boakye Yiadom and affectionately called DJ Tiiny.
This comes after being charged for taking a sum of £200 to play songs (Payola) and keep tracks on a playlist for his primetime show.
The dj who is also popularly known for his duties around 2020 BET Hip-hop awards International Flow winner, Stormzy, Tiiny has been hosting the Friday night slot on the station since the year 2018 from 7pm – 9pm.
Just after the reports came in from the camp of capital Xtra radio, the station has removed his profile from its website. The whole secret bumped out after a producer claimed to have received an email saying he would premiere a track on his Friday night show and keep it on his playlist for two weeks for a fee of £200.
The DJ has anyway in a tweet confirmed his exploitation and has apologized for his misconduct. He wrote “I take full responsibility for my actions and fully accept the consequences as a result. I am sorry to everyone that has affected and to those I have let down.”
