His Excellency the president of the republic of Ghana will be delivering his very last State of the Nation’s address for his first term in office today and it has been scheduled for 10am.
This very development is in line with Article 67 of the 1992 national constitution. It states categorically that “the President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before a dissolution of Parliament, deliver to Parliament a message on the state of the nation”.
The Parliament’s Public Affairs Directorate in a statement has said that attendance is strictly by invitation and this is because there has been the need to ensure all valid protocols and measures with regards to Covid_19.
Readers and the Ghanaian citizenship body at large should be well informed that the current Parliament is set to be dissolved come January 6, 2021 for the 8th Parliament to be inaugurated on January 7 2021.
