The Bomfa Junction on the Konongo-Kumasi Highway in the Ashanti Region has seen another unexpected tragedy leaving two people dead with many in critical conditions.
The very car that faced this omen is said to be a sprinter with registration number AS 4852-20. Eye witnesses say the car was carrying an overload of passengers and at a point veered off the road after getting one of its tires bursting.
The bus conductor told reporters that the driver was running on top speed after noticing there were no incoming vehicles on the free road and just before he knew the car had somersaulted resulting in the death of two passengers even before an aid came through.
While some managed to escape unhurt, other critically injured passengers are receiving treatment at the Konongo Government Hospital.
