The known record label holding down Mr Drew in Ghana known as the Highly Spiritual Music has sent in reactions over social media claims that their artist stole the “Eat” dubbed single of which he featured Stonebwoy.
These claims by social media users come after reports supported with evidences came in that Mr Drew sampled “Empire/Love Rhythm” by America’s Rotimi.
Well, Highly Spiritual Music has done the needful by coming out with a press release to make things more clearer and as well accounted for the events that led to the accusations on board.
Highly Spiritual Music head and Manager of Mr Drew in the person of David Kojo Kyei (Kaywa) his artist never stole any song and accounts that what the media space is been flooded with is actually not the case.
The very first paragraph of the release reads as follows: “Our attention has been drawn to news circulating that our artiste, Mr Drew has stolen a song “Love Riddim” belonging to Rotimi, an America/Nigerian artiste. The song was a ‘cover version’ a remake or revival of the original performance and on every occasion our Artiste credited the originator ‘Rotimi.
