King David believed to be 52 years has been apprehended by the Awutu Bereku District Police Command and it has been alleged that the old man is selling Shea butter as a Covid-19 preventive cream.
Early reports has indicated that King David was arrested while he was transacting business at Awutu Bereku in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central region.
Upon being seen, it was witnessed that the seller was in possession of packed dozens of the cream in a blue-black vehicle branded with a coronavirus preventive cream sticker.
Upon interrogations with few around the scene, one said “We were excited when he told us the cream, being sold for GH¢ 5.00, could cure the disease just by applying on your body after eating, so many of us rushed for it”
They added that their attention was drawn to a strict actualization when they opened the containing the cream only to realize it was mere shea butter.
Superintendent Joshua Semanyo who stands as the commander for the Awutu Bereku District Police spoken and as well has confirmed the incident and assured residents of hauling King David to court.
In his speech he said “We had information that a herbal medicine practitioner is selling COVID 19 medication so we went and found out that it’s fake so we arrested him. We will soon arraign him before court. We are urging those who have bought the said medicine to return it immediately.”
