Star Mount Studios alongside a team of actors and artistes called the Prophetic Drama and Arts Family of Believer’s Home of Life (BHL) has been performing 20 to 30 minutes drama every last Sunday of BHL’s monthly ‘Swag It Up Service’ for the past three years. This partnership started in 2016 and has made it possible for stories such as “A psycho for a boyfriend”, “Shadows of her past”, “The devil with a big mouth” and many more to be staged. The feedback from our audience members ranging from 250 – 300 is always delightful with them reiterating the lasting impact of our stage plays in their lives. Together, Star Mount Studios and the Prophetic Drama and Arts Family form a team of 45 young, energetic, vibrant and creatively artistic members. It is, therefore, in this light that we think it is time we step up and shine our light globally.
About The Story
Cynthia, a hard working lady in her late 20’s applies for a promotion for a new position. She’s also had the dream of climbing up the ladder of her workplace and one day become CEO. Meanwhile Shanty, a childhood friend of Cynthia takes a liking to Alex, a work colleague of Cynthia at a dinner party organized by their boss Mrs Gah. Since then, Shanty made it her mission to have Alex at all cost to the extent of promising to even change from her old ways of trading her body for materialism should he give in on her request of them becoming a couple. Alex, who on the other hand is focused in life and desires to make the world a better place through inventions respectfully declines Shanty’s request but Shanty wouldn’t have it and keeps pressing him to give in. Desperate to end the endless advances by Shanty, Alex complains to Cynthia and asks her to have a word with Shanty to stop with her advances. Cynthia agrees to help but completely forgets about it when her application for the promotion is declined and given to another colleague. Now desperate to get the promotion at all cost, she hatches a plan and instead of her initial agreement of helping Alex out, rather lands him in one big trouble.
